After months of lockdown, the Faema Art&Caffeine Flagship store is delighted to reopen to celebrate Photofestival 2020!
Come explore the world of coffee as portrayed by the photographers Flavio & Frank through the photographic exhibition “Changing world: the women of coffee-portraits from Masaka”
For the sixth year now, the Cimbal Group is sponsoring Photofestival, the richest and most important exhibition dedicated to art photography, held in Milan and neighbouring cities.
The Faema Art&Caffeine Flagship store will reopen for the occasion and has organised a special exhibition entitled “Changing world: the women of coffee-portraits from Masaka”. The inauguration will be on 8 September (by invitation) and will be open to the public from 9 September to 15 November booking your visit.
Shots from a discovery journey in Uganda by Francesco Sanapo, along with the portrait photographers Flavio & Frank, to investigate the reality of an expanding country, also thanks to the quality of its coffee production.
The exhibition set up for Photofestival 2020 highlights a focus on the “The Coffee Hunter” project, and is an extract and an extension of it.
. The emblematic example recounts the city of Masaka, where initiatives have been launched to promote gender equality in the families of coffee farmers. An authentic view which restores dignity and life prospects to local women, through coffee.
The initiative is part of the “Women’s talents” programme relating to the initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Milan in 2020 for the enhancement of female talents.
Similar to the previous ones, the exhibition is organised in memory of Gabriele Cimbali, a great photography enthusiast and supporter of Photofestival.
